Frequently Asked Questions
What JakeSwift is, how the platform works, and what it can and can't do yet.
What is JakeSwift?
JakeSwift is a technology-enabled commercial logistics company that connects businesses with suitable transport capacity and manages the logistics process from request through delivery.
Does JakeSwift own trucks?
JakeSwift can work with owned, contracted, partner and rental transport capacity. The model is designed to provide flexible access to suitable transport without relying exclusively on a large owned fleet.
What industries does JakeSwift serve?
JakeSwift is designed for commercial sectors including mining, construction, agriculture, manufacturing, industrial operations, infrastructure and general commercial logistics.
Can I request multiple trucks?
Yes. Clients can submit requirements for individual vehicles, multiple vehicles, recurring transport or larger logistics projects.
Can JakeSwift manage recurring transport?
Yes. The platform is designed to support recurring logistics requirements, scheduled jobs and longer-term transport arrangements.
Can I track my shipment?
Yes — every job's status is visible in the portal, and you can look up a shipment's current status by reference on our public tracking page. Live GPS location tracking is not part of the platform yet; status and proof of delivery are.
What if my transport provider already has GPS tracking?
JakeSwift's operational status tracking works independently of any GPS system a contractor already runs. Direct integration with third-party GPS providers is on our roadmap but isn't available yet.
Do contractors need their own GPS?
No. Job and status tracking through JakeSwift OS doesn't depend on a contractor having GPS hardware installed.
Can JakeSwift use rental trucks?
Yes. Rental fleet capacity can form part of the JakeSwift transport network where suitable.
Do you provide proof of delivery?
Yes. Digital POD collection and document management form part of the JakeSwift operational workflow — uploaded, reviewed, and kept on file against the job.
Can JakeSwift handle mining logistics?
Yes. The platform and operating model are designed to support commercial sectors such as mining, subject to the specific project, compliance and transport requirements.
Can I become a JakeSwift transport partner?
Yes. Transport companies and operators can apply to join the JakeSwift network through our partner registration.
